Lauren Yee, a highly acclmed playwright with numerous productions under her belt, collaborates once agn with Desdemona Chiang, continuing their long-standing artistic partnership. The title The Great Leap? is a dual nod to both the game itself as well as China's political campgn of the same name from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The Great Leap? is designed to engage audiences without requiring prior knowledge about history or basketball, making it accessible to all. This production is not just a story about nations but also about personal victories that transc cultural and political boundaries.
