Golden State Warriors Fall Short Agnst Milwaukee Bucks Despite Strong Effort Without Steph Curry
The Golden State Warriors suffered a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in an intense game marked by a back-to-back schedule. However, they managed to fight competitively throughout, especially after having their star player, Steph Curry, rested for this match.
Brandin Podziemski stepped into the limelight as he started in place of Curry and put up a commable performance with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and an impressive triple-double. His one standout shot was making a step-back three-pointer agnst the towering Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Jonathan Kuminga also shone brightly, scoring a career-high 28 points, achieving this milestone by shooting at an efficiency rate of 10-for-18 from the field. He particularly excelled in the fourth quarter with an impressive tally of 17 points.
Despite a promising start with a hot-shooting night agnst Chicago, Klay Thompson cooled off as he only managed to score 21 points while converting on only 7-of-23 field goal attempts. The contest featured a total of 18 lead changes and at one point in the third quarter, the Warriors were ahead by seven points.
However, Milwaukee was able to rally back and secure victory thanks to Antetokounmpo's and Damian Lillard’s efforts. The Warriors' journey continues as they take on the Memphis Grizzlies for an earlier Martin Luther King Jr. game before finishing off their road trip agnst Utah Jazz.
Afterward, they return home to face-off with the Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, and Sacramento Kings.
