Apple TV User Guide: Watching Sports in the App
The Sports section within the Apple TV app provides instant access to a wide array of live and scheduled sports events, including exclusive features such as Friday Night Baseball, avlable through subscription services like MLB Season Pass.
Other sports events may require subscriptions based on provider agreements.
Users can view ongoing matches with real-time scores, browse upcoming games, add them to the Up Next queue for later viewing, watch multiple events simultaneously, and access pre-game and post-game shows. The My Sports feature allows following favorite teams and receiving notifications about future events, live scores, or direct access to their respective matches in the Up Next row.
Navigate through Live Sport Streaming
Open the Apple TV app on your Apple TV device.
Access the sidebar menu and select Sports.
Scroll down through the categories to see various options.
Choose a category to view avlable sports events.
Pick an ongoing event, then click 'Watch Live' to tune into the broadcast or press 'Start Agn' to watch from the beginning.
Subscribing for Exclusive Access
If you're not already subscribed to the required channel or app offering exclusive content like Friday Night Baseball, follow on-screen instructions accordingly.
How To Watch Multiple Games Simultaneously
After selecting your preferred event, the TV playback controls will appear.
Swipe up to access additional options such as audio choices.
Use the 'Listen Local Radio' feature during Friday Night Baseball for local commentary.
Adding Up Next Events
You can manage which events are added to the Up Next row in the Apple TV app sidebar by:
Navigating Sports section
Finding your event of interest
Pressing and holding the clickpad or touch surface
Select 'Add to Up Next' to place it at the of the queue.
Following Your Favorite Teams
Enjoy personalized updates with My Sports feature, which lets you keep track of favorite teams across various sports such as Major League Soccer MLS in the US.
If you've set up your favorites through News or Apple Sports apps on iPhone or iPad devices, they'll automatically appear on your Apple TV. For more guidance:

Subscriptions are required for Apple TV+, which includes Friday Night Baseball, and MLS Season Pass. The latter requires tvOS version 16.2 or higher. Not all features and content may be avlable everywhere or across all Apple TVand devices.
